Short biography

Sergio finished his B. Sc. In Nanotechnology at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2017. Then, he joined the Erasmus Mundus Master in Nanotechnology, a master program offered in collaboration by KU Leuven and TU Dresden. During his master thesis, he worked with on-chip integrated impedimetric sensors at the Chair of “Materials Science and Nanotechnology” from TU Dresden. Since 2019, he is a Ph.D. student at the department of “Intelligent materials and systems” at the HZDR. His research is centered around the integration of magnetically actuated microswimmers and sensors in lab-on-chip microfluidic platforms.
